Now that I'm focused on producing the full Hyperboy book I'm making new character designs and filling in the plot. This new art is most of what I came up with last week. My plan is to keep updating this site with all the new art and story work for Hyperboy as I go along.

Another busy week. I'm still keeping a bunch of projects going all at once. Its the freelance way! I just finished up a cover for an independant book, I'm starting roughs on Claims issue 3, doing some trading card art, and working up the script for Hyperboy.

I'm really trying to stay focused on Hyperboy because I dont want to lose my momentum. I know its going to be a bit tougher to keep producing new art as convention season rolls in, but I guess if it was easy everyone would do it!

Third Eye Blueprint 2 Signing

The tour continues! This weekend come see me and the IDentity Crew signing fresh copies of the Blueprint 2. We will be signing from 11am until 1pm at the Annapolis location! We love being at Third Eye. It's a great place to find your comics and just be with people who know comics.

 I'm knee deep in the production of Hyperboy for The Blueprint2 Kickstarter. I'm working on pages and doing more design work as i go. We have less than 2 weeks left to reach our goal and I'm confident we can make a big push to finish strong!

I'm working hard to get Hyperboy completed for the Blueprint 2 Kickstarter. I wanted to pop in and make sure I got some new art up. Please take a second to head over to the kickstarter and pledge your support. We can't make the book happen without you!

KickStarter CountDown

  The Identity Comics Studio is returning to it's roots and going back to self publishing! Our kickstarter will go live on July 11th (that's 7/11!) We are producing our first anthology in 10 years, The BluePrint 2! The book will feature stories written and drawn by the studio artists PENG, FLASH, and myself and with writting by our pals Kenny Groom and Jeffery and Susan Bridges.

My primary contribution to the book is the return of Hyperboy! I created him way back in the late 90s and the team and I produced the first comic back in o6. I've always wanted to come back to the character and the BluePrint has given me the chance to bring him back and give him the update he deserves.

We can't do it with out your help! Please consider supporting our kickstarter. We'll be offering some great rewards including original art from the book and custom commissions. This is a labor of love and we want you to be a part of it!

Me and the Identity Studio just got back from Tidewater Comic Con and it was amazing! We had so much fun! Unfortunately I wont have time to post any of the cool stuff that went down yet because we are packing for Megacon which is only a couple days away. The Identity team will be in attandce with all th usual goodies, prints originals, comics, and comics. I've posted a map that will lead you to each of us!

Hyperboy Returns?

So way back in the day, when I first started trying to get into comics, I created a book called Hyperboy. I worked on it with my studio mates at Identity and I actually drew2 complete issues and started work penciling the third. We only published the first issue then unfortunately, because we really had no idea how to go about self publishing at the time we couldn't gather enough support to keep publishing.  So here I am over 10 years after the first publication of Hyperboy, and I'm getting the ball rolling again. I'm at the very early stages of production right now, redesigning the character and plotting out the first story. It feels great to have something like this moving in the background of all my other projects. It really gets to the heart of why I started drawing comics in the first place. So enjoy these sketches of my creator owned project, Hyperboy!

This weekend from April 18-20th the Identity Comics Crew (Peng, Flash and Me!)will be at the Washington Convention Center for Awesome Con! We will be attending as guests of the show so. We will be selling prints, doing commissions, signing comics and selling originals all weekend long. The show is going to be amazing!

Did I mention that each of the members of the studio worked on badge art for the show? Yup, we did! I even got to do the VIP badge and the program cover.

Con Season wrap up

 This convention season has been incredible. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my comics career so far. The Identity Comics team and I did about 20 shows this year between April and November. We traveled all over the country, met amazing creators and fans and just plain had a great time. The last leg of the con tour was pretty rough. The project deadlines and short work weeks really took a toll on me. In the end it was all worth it though. I'll probably never do that many shows again in one year, but it was a hell of an experience.

I want to through out a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support us at a con this year. Having the opportunity to meet you and talk shop at each show has been fantastic.

So now that con season is pretty much over I'll be getting back to what I do best...DRAWING COMICS. I'm cooking up some new projects right now that I can't say too much about right now, but I'll be letting you all in on everything in the coming weeks. I also, just recently worked on an issue of Sonic the Hedgehog, and I'm working on a bunch of cover that will be coming out over the next few

This moth will also see the final issue of Fanboys vs Zombies. The entire creative team and I poured ourselves into this one. It's one of the best issues of the series and I promise the ending won't let you down. If you have enjoyed the series so far then this final issue will blow you away.

OTAKON 2013

Come see the ID Comics Crew this weekend at Otakon!

 Otakon is this WEEKEND! Man this con season is flying by. So me and the ID Comics Crew will be set up and selling prints comics, and doing sketches all weekend long. If you are going to the show this year be sure to come by and hang out with us for a bit. we can chat and talk comics and anime all weekend. We will be in Artist Alley and see us at TABLES T04-T05! Peng-Peng Flash, and I will all be there! looks like we'll have our backs to the left wall this year.

Brian and Carrie got engaged right at our booth at Motor City Comic Con! It was pretty awesome!

 Everything is going like 90 miles an hour! More cons happening than I have ever done before and it's been great! C2E2, Free Comic Book Day, and Motor City are in the books with Philly up next. Each show has been amazing and I just wanna say thank you to everyone who comes by to hang out with me and the ID Comics crew. You all really make doing comics the best job on earth and I wouldn't dream of doing anything else.

So I figure it would be cool to share a few photos from my most recent shows. That way you oguys can see how much fun goes down at a con!
